Danny "Dan" Egler died on Jan. 5, 2026, at the age of 78. He was a consultant and press aide for Sen. Bill Brady's campaigns after working as the statehouse bureau chief for Chicago Tribune. Egler also proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1971. (February 2026)

Sheri Riley died on Jan. 16, 2026, at the age of 62. She was the marketing manager at KEMBA Indianapolis Credit Union and founded Roman Ink, a marketing and communications firm. Joseph "Joe" Angotti died on Jan. 25, 2026, at the age of 87. He was senior vice president for news at NBC and the chairmanship of the broadcast program at Northwestern University.
